Master Tae K. Won

Master Tae K. Won, a Christian, 7th degree black belt, a coach of World Champions and National Champions, co-founder of the world renowned prestigious KICK Team, and co-founder of Won’s Martial Arts.

Master Won is a native of South Korea. He began his education and training in the martial arts at the age of nine.  Tae Kwon Do and Hap Ki Do are the arts he started training in under his brother, Master Young S. Won, and Master James Bolles.

In 1986 Master Tae K. Won helped open his brother’s Tae Kwon Do and Hap Ki Do School in Manchester, Georgia.  He started teaching Tae Kwon Do, Hap Ki Do, and weapons (kama, nunchuck, sai, tonfa, bo, flying kama and sword).  In 1990, Master Tae K. Won helped opened his brother’s second school in Phenix City, Alabama. In 1989-1992, Master Tae K. Won served in the U.S. Air Force and served in the Gulf War.

Master Won is and accomplished martial artist. His ability and skill has been confirmed time after time by his participation in numerous competitions and winning numerous forms and fighting in open martial arts championships.

Today, Master Tae K. Won, operates Won’s Martial Art in Phenix City, Alabama and trains the KICK Team members.

Master Tae K. Won is a man of honor, principle, conviction and commitment.  Like his art he remains true to his principles, which is reflected in his service he has given to his church and his community.  Master Tae K. Won continues to give his best to his church, family, friends, and most of all, to his students because he is committed to promoting the martial arts as well as the principles and codes of honor they are based upon.
